Just to get a feeling for what crazy time it was.
And then a few years later in 1997, I founded ByteWorks, a software company, which I run for 27 years.

What kind of tools are you using?
What is your workflow?
How do you manage to be so productive?
Okay, so if I would need to put it in a one-liner, I would say my team is a set of color-coded terminal sessions and I run it by talking, not typing.
That's the one thing.
My focus is conversational AI, voice AI on the one hand.

Ich habe einen anderen Agenten gearbeitet und habe einen JumpPoint.
Ich bin ein bisschen addicted zu Entrophic, weil ich Cloud mostly oder die meisten mag.
Aber ich habe die Websiteen auf alle major Providers, also einfach um die competitiveness für die Models zu verändern.
und ich denke, das ist das basically das.
You are currently working in parallel and how to not getting confused by all the changes, updates and so on.
So how do you stay on top of all the stuff?
So most of the time I am running between six and eight terminal sessions simultaneously.
And sometimes it's also three or four on one project.
But sometimes it's also six different scopes or projects by its own.
As I said, divided mostly by colors, because that's what I can mostly easily recognize.
And I simply like to see what the AI is working on, what the agent is working on, what the agents.
That's why I have a 42-inch screen as my main screen.
2-3rds of this is covered for the terminals and one third is for the browser to test and to see the results and that on.
And on two other screens I have some monitoring for other stuff and my MacBook is my main input and communication device on it.

But like now with like a very compact workflow where you like you always get bombarded with the answer and answer and answer and like this happens like in parallel.
I could imagine that's very exhaustive.

That's what it is.
Yeah.
So I really have to take care that the limit for the productiveness is not.

Und ich bereits starte auf 6, 6.30 Uhr in der Morgen, um die Zeit, wenn niemand spricht oder e-mail oder was.

And from that three perspectives, the AI needs to get back to me with three recommendations.
And then I try to choose from that and going into that.
I also have prepared a framework on myself.
I call it Launchpad, which gives me the opportunity to directly kickstart an application.
And it has already in everything from P2 encryption, multi-tenant architecture, multi-language, multi-currency, multi-date format, all the things that I know from more than 25 years of doing that stuff for other clients.
And that gives me a good advantage.
And I have a main agent which knows all my projects.

Und so, ich wirklich versucht, die AI als Team-Members, als ich es mit Real Humans mache.

Ja, da war eigentlich eine Frage, die ich vorher hatte, wenn du, wie für verschiedene Applikations hast, wenn du immer eine similare Stag hast, aber das, obviously, hast du jetzt gesagt.
Und was du nicht antwortest, was André gefragt, wie viele Produkte du hast in der Produktion.

Okay, so I'm currently working on two products, or three products on my own.
One is the open source product.
It's the voice recognition for the Mac, because I used one paid before.
Und dann ein Client von mir hat mich gesagt, hey, ich habe es nicht benutzt, weil wir es für mein Projekt machen.
Und dann habe ich es auf meinem eigenen Schreiben.
Und ich habe es auf dem einen Software-as-a-Service-Development als ein Trading Genre für Daytraders und Swingtraders.
Das kommt aus meinem alten Bereich.
Und ich habe es nur für mein eigenes, zu sein, weil ich es an US-Basen.
Trading Journal.
And I was not happy with that because it did not support European progress and it did not support Europe account and all that stuff.
And so I just started building my own and then I shared it to some friends and all that friends said, okay, that's cool and that's cool.
And at the moment I'm just waiting for the contracts, which I also wrote with Claude.

Beside that, ich habe drei bis vier smaller Kunden, Partly already ready developed and I maintain and implement new features or where I help to enable them to build the software with the help of AI on their own.
So basically, I don't know, a handful of actual products, right?
And then additional like capacities.

Absolutely.
Wie fühlt es sich, wie es die alten Zeiten, wo du eine Software-Kompany warst?
So, jetzt zu sein, dass alles gut ist, aber es hat auch einen, ich weiß, einen, ich weiß, einen, einen, einen, einen, einen, einen, einen?
Wie fühlt es sich, als es sich zu den letzten Jahren fühlt?
Oh, das ist sehr interessant, weil ich mich nur ein paar Tage vorher hatte, um die alten Feeling zu bekommen.
So there are, as always, there are pros and cons.
The biggest pro for me is I was all the time, I was a technical guy.
And when I founded the company, I wanted to build real cool software, especially for banks and brokerage.
And after the years passing by, I recognized that I wasn't the tech guy anymore.
Reading contracts and managing the team.
So the company always has been too small for having an extra management line, but too big to handle it on your own.
And the other thing is, I'm interested on money.
Yes, sure, everybody is interested on money, but I'm not interested on...
I'm not counting success or fortune on the back.
It's the freedom that I can do what I want to do.
And I simply felt not happy anymore by only managing a company, but not building something on my own.
I wanted to get back deeper into tech stuff.
And that's what I have now.
For me, it is the biggest feeling of freedom.

I simply started discussing with the AI and I saw that it's a completely different domain, but I could build it because I could imagine it.
And I think that's also what I tell everybody who wants to get in touch with AI.
I say, don't ask Can I do it?
Ask the AI, please do it.
And the AI will tell you what it can do and what it cannot do.
And you will be surprised that almost everything in software is possible.
Even if you cannot believe it right now, it's possible.
You can do it.
And that's the biggest thing of freedom.
To the downside, it's very easy.
I need to manage my time.
Because the next feature is only 10 minutes away.
And that's something what I really feel that I get sucked into it.
Like it's been when I was a kid and I was doing text adventures.
You look on the watch and say, ah, the next level I can check onto it.
And the next time when you look on your watch, it's 4 a.m.
And you are still completely.
Du kannst nicht weg von der Maschine gehen.
Das ist eine sehr, sehr große Sache.
Mein Vater kommt zu mir und sagt, Dad, du hast die Firma und eine der Reise war, du willst mehr Zeit für Sport, Familie, mehr Zeit und so weiter.
Und jetzt, du sitzt in front of die Computer 16 Stunden a day.
Und was du machst?
Warum?
Und dann sage ich ihm, ich habe so viel Spaß.
Ich habe wirklich viel Spaß in meinem Leben, weil ich bin frei zu tun.
Ich bin kein CI, CD-Sperialist, um zu deployen, aber ich kann es.
Ich kann es mit der AI-Systeme, um zu setzen, wie Coolify, um zu deployen, um zu automatisch, um zu monitorieren.
und all das, was ich vorher schon mal eine Menge anstattet, die mir vorhin hat, es wird eine Woche dauern.
Und jetzt sehe ich, dass es zwei Stunden dauern kann.
Das ist die große Unterschiede.
Und der andere sehr große Grunde ist, das Zeitmanagement ist, dass es mit Menschen zu reden.
Das ist das ich wirklich miss.
Ich versuche, zwei bis drei Wochen zu machen, um zu machen, um meine selbst-madeeinigenen und nicht enden wie ein strangeer Typ aus dem Cellar und nicht mit Menschen sprechen zu Menschen für drei Wochen.
Das ist der größte Grundsatz.
Ich sehe das direktesgleich, zu gehen in die Office, zu sprechen, zu den Menschen, face zu face.
Es ist ein komplett anderes.

Yeah, it would be bad if you could get this from AI because then you really wouldn't need other people, right?
I think a lot of people think they can get this from AI and they think that they can even get it better from AI than from humans.
That's also true.
Yeah.
In regard to impact, so how would you, how would that?
You mentioned earlier, it was not really a fulfilling life, so to say, just managing a company.
Nevertheless, at the end of the day, you need to sell something to pay the bills.
I think it's the way you described it.
I like the idea of freedom.
I like the idea of power.
The question to me is, how do you see this from the impact point of view?
So you can work on a lot of stuff, but does it...

And if you have the passion to go deeper than everybody else, then it's possible.
So when we're talking of software products, because it's the area where I can talk about, I cannot talk about medicine products or cars or whatever, because that's not where I have some expertise in.
But looking on the software field, SaaS services or whatever, I would say someone with no real software background simply can't operate AI as effectively as a pro can.
And at today's state of art, I think in two to three years, there's a little bit of the dystopia that I had from the Cloud Code Conference.
I'm not sure if I would repeat that sentence.
I can imagine that then we'll turn it around.
But what really helps me is when I talk to AI and when I specify the things that I spent three decades on going the classic route.
I have been a junior developer.
I have been a senior.
I then turned into a team lead.
Then I had the architecture ownership.
After that, the software architect.
And finally, the solution architect.
Und als ich auch als der Manner der Unternehmen habe, habe ich eine weitere Qualifikation, ich würde es sagen.
Es war immer mit der Verständnis, was die Kunden eigentlich braucht, wie sie die Geld machen und wie sie eine Rolle machen können.
Und das ist ein Produkt, ich bin nicht sicher, ob ich das heute kann.
I think that's exactly the judgment the model still doesn't have.
And the stakeholders must not be humans, must not be physical persons, but it's also something like GDPR.
Like in voice AI, we have in Germany especially that voice is biometric data and has the highest responsibility for someone acting with voice and all the things.
And so, yes, it's possible.
Not from Germany, I would say, nowadays.
And not if you are not an absolutely pro in the area where you want to test it.
Not sure if you want to share that or if it goes beyond.
But I'm wondering if you're a solopreneur and you basically do consulting.
I think this is one of your jobs.
How do you sell that?
How do you find...
Ja, so I have two different The one is really workshops on introducing, for example, Voice AI or Conversational AI, helping on the setups, explaining what needs to be done from legal to software stack and also the sample prompts and so on.
This is simply where I put on a price tag.
which I know also from other people in the area.
I would say that's like a good lawyer.
Also, Texas' work, that's just this level.
And I have longer lasting projects, which is not really consulting only.
This is more about developing an MVP, start for a software product and enabling the company and the people of mit der AI zusammen mit dem Zusammenarbeit mit dem späteren.
Und das ist ein mixture von Value und Zeit.
Und zu sein, es ist nicht auf alle die gleiche.
Es ist auch ein bisschen wie interessant das ist.
Aber ich habe keine Preis-Tag.

My thoughts on the point, what I saw on that Claude Code Conference in London.
If the speed keeps on going up, the same speed as it is right now, what will happen in three years with that knowledge that I have?
I'm aware of that, that this is coming, but still I make my mind up.
Will my knowledge be needed still in three years or not?
Because the AI is then probably so much ahead of what we have today that I'm not sure if somebody can simply put in a prompt and say, hey, make me this up.
And four hours later, the AI is back.
Yeah, do you have a domain which I should point to the solution?
Yeah, I think we would cover that topic at the end of that episode.
No, no, all good, all good.
But this is already a nice cliffhanger.
So maybe let's go already a bit in the direction before we talk about hottest shit and that stuff.

Ich habe meine Firma mit dem Unternehmen.
Jetzt habe ich 20 Akte in Peril mit dem Akte.
Ich habe die Mitte der Akte mit den Akte.
Hast du einen Plan in der Richtung?
So, eigentlich, every Friday afternoon ist der Zeit, wenn ich einen Sprint Review mache mit meinem Team und wir sehen, was hat sich in der letzten Woche verändert.
Und das ist mostly über was neue Skills oder was changes in den Skills wir hatten in den letzten Wochen, was changes in den Cloud and D-Files wir hatten in den letzten Wochen und all das.
Und ich versuche dann zu gehen von dem Bottom-Up, zu checken für Duplicates, was in den Master Cloud and D-Files.
Ich habe eine Struktur von Cloud and D-Files.

Aber ich habe auch, zum Beispiel für Marketing Stuff, eine domain, wo ich keine Idee habe.
Ich bin absolut nicht ein Kreativ person.
und so weiter.
Ich habe mich als Marketing-Kompany für meine Needs geholfen.
So mein Ziel ist wirklich ein fully automatisierter Marketing-System mit Paperclip.
Ich habe auch eine neue Kreditkarte mit 1.000 Euro pro Woche für heute, die kann man benutzt.
Test the water before you go in deep.
Das ist mainly der Weg, dass ich meine Team size oder die Team ausfüllen möchte, bei der ich spezielle Agents und Dinge, die ich automatisch verwendet habe.
Ich habe ein Unternehmen, das die Klogekowork, die die Banken für Paybuilds und Openbuilds, die kommt von der Trading Account, die Amounts und so weiter.
wie wir auf den Tag zu werden, bis Ende der Jahr 2028.
Und es auch checktet mein Kalender, fragt mich, wie wir die Zeit zu machen wollen, um die Zeit zu werden, um das Produktivität zu werden.
Und es ist wichtig, dass wirklich jeder Task hat für mich in GitHub, sogar organisational Task.
Und wir machen eine Triage every day in der Morgen.
auf welche Tasche müssen heute beitragen.
Impressive.
Ich habe vieles Kontrolle über meine Workflow und ich auch brauchen diese Kontrolle, diese Struktur.
Ja, und ich denke, es macht auch nicht Sinn, dass es nicht reinvendet, aber es geht um etwas, was es gut ist, wie organisiert, wie organisational Structures, wie roads.
und diese kind of Dinge.
Ich bin nicht sicher, ob alle weiß, was Paperclip ist.
Kannst du es in eine oder zwei Senderfälle?
Paperclip ist ein AI-agent framework, vielleicht ein bisschen ähnlich wie OpenClaw, aber nicht auf der gleichen Ebene wie independent.
Aber mit Paperclip, du hast eine Unternehmen.
Und du sprichst nur mit dem CEO der Firma, und der Rest, der Agent, starte zu gestalten.
So, wenn ich ihm, dass ich ihn in meinem eigenen Posten möchte, die bester sind, und mir neue Themen, wo ich auf das Wort kann, und zu vorbereiten, das auch.

And the organizations that grows on its own, only where you have to watch on all the time is.

Und dann, bei der Reiseurte ich herauskehren, ich habe, dass es ein großes Projekt ist.

And this is maybe how, maybe, maybe final question.
How much do you make use of these kind of open source products?
I think they, like you use that on purpose to leverage yourself, your solopreneurship or you, you tend to build stuff on your own very precisely for your needs.

Mainly I am.

Es ist schwer für mich zu passen, um zu bauen, weil ich einfach Spaß habe.
Ich mache auch viel Sport.
Ich habe auch mein eigenes Sport coach, der optimiert meine Training-Sauf in meinem Wegplan, um die Optimum auszuladen.
Ich fand es spannend, dass ich es auf meinem eigenen kann.
Ich habe einen Mann als Trainer, aber das Person wirklich wollte erneut sein, seine eigenen Plan und nicht wirklich erkennen, dass ich für mich, die Familie und Familie ist erst und ich nicht erst.
Ich habe mich nicht mehr als Sport gewonnen.
Ich möchte, aber es ist mein drittes Priorität, nicht mein erstes Priorität.
Aber ich also tende immer wieder zu bauen, und ich muss mich wirklich zu kontrollieren, um nicht zu machen.
Und das Papierkip war, ich habe es nicht gehört, und ich habe es ein bisschen mitgebracht.
Und dann wollte ich es selber selber.

You need to have the core competence in that what you are doing with AI, because it shows that I absolutely do not have competence on marketing.

I also do not like to post on social media, but I have good LinkedIn posts because I learned it and I tried to step outside a little bit.
But this is really the, for me, The hottest shit to get into it, how I can make more use of that, helping me also on other things where I have deficits or which I do not like to do and to scale my one person army, my Swiss knife.
