This is TechCrunch.
Hey, Berlin.
Wusstest du that bewegen kannst?
Zum Beispiel in Solaranlagen auf den Dächern unserer Stadt and in viele weitere grüne Energieprojekte.
Berliner Stadtwerke.
Stimmt, krass.
Fühlt sich gar nicht wie Steuern an.
Steuern erledigt.
Safe.
Mit Viso Steuer.
Anthropic is bringing a gentec plugins to co-work.
I'm Imran Shake and your Saturday Daily Crunch starts right now.
Blue Sky released its first transparency report this week, documenting the actions taken by its trust and safety team and the results of other initiatives, like age assurance compliance, monitoring of influence, operations, automated labeling, and more.
Now the social media startup, a rival to X and Threads, grew nearly 60% in 2025, from 25.9 million users to 41.2 million, which includes accounts hosted both on Blue Sky's own infrastructure and those running their own infrastructure as part of the decentralized social network based on Blue Sky's AT protocol.
During the past year, users made 1.41 billion posts on the platform, which represented 61% of all posts ever made on Blue Sky.
Now, of those, 235 million posts contained media, accounting for 62% of all media posts shared on Blue Sky to date.
The companies also reported a five-fold increase in legal requests from law enforcement agencies, government regulators, and legal representatives in 2025, with 1,470 requests up from 238 requests in 2024.
Whoa boy, Apple had a great Q1, huh?
Well, it looks like iPhone sales were the real standout, though.
The company reports that its signature device had its best quarter ever, thanks partially to a surge of sales in regions like China and India.
Now Apple's earnings report shows the company sold 85 billion dollars worth of iPhones during its first quarter, up from 69 billion dollars in the same period last year.
CEO Tim Apple, I mean Tim Cook, is said there's been enthusiasm for the iPhone 17, which was announced in September.
The new model has proven to be significantly more popular than the company's previous iPhone.
Earlier this month, Anthropic launched Co-Work, a new agentic tool designed to take the benefits of its AI coding assistant, Claude Code, and transform it into a more general use tool that non-coders could benefit from.
Well, now, Anthropic has launched a new feature within CoWork to make it even more powerful for enterprise users.
Lo and behold, we have the plugin.
The idea behind plug-in is actually pretty simple.
They're designed to automate specialized tasks within a company's various departments.
Whether that function is drafting content for the marketing department, reviewing risks in documents for a firm's legal team, or drafting responses for customer support.
The plugin is designed to use agentic automation to streamline work with a specialized focus.
The company's saying you can use plugins to tell Claude how you like work done, which tools and data to pull from, how to handle critical workflows, and what slash commands to expose so your team gets more consistent outcomes.
And finally, we've got some news coming out of the startup world from Upwind Security.
The cloud security startup is only four years in, but it's now worth 1.5 billion dollars and boasts the likes of Siemens, Peloton, Roku, Wix Nextdoor, and New Bank amongst its clientele.
Upwind Security recently raised a 250 million dollar Series B for crying out loud.
Upwind Security focuses on prioritizing alerts and remediation efforts around threats and vulnerabilities and active services in real time.
You see, it's like an inside out take on cloud security, where internal signals like network requests and API traffic function as contacts to help security teams separate urgent risks from those that can wait.
And that's your daily Crunch.
